Moli det Bigibigi (Molly the pig) is a colourful picture book by Karen Manbulloo of Binjari Community. It tells a true story of a wild pig who was adopted, reared on Weet-Bix and became part of the community. The story was originally published in 2017 by Indigenous Literacy Foundation as part of the community-based Binjari Buk project. Moli det Bigibigi is so popular that it later become a commercial publication, so we are excited to be able to make it available too!

After the book’s publication, Moli det bigibigi became a local favourite. In 2019, it was selected as one of the recommended books for Australian Reading Hour. Author Karen Manbulloo has travelled all over Australia sharing her book (read more about it here). And Moli? Well Moli is still living near Katherine, last seen near Kalano community probably hungry for Weet-Bix.
